Arecio R. Rendor
Mr. Rendor has been a litigator appearing before the first level courts and various administrative bodies and orally argued before the appellate courts in the Philippines.
He has handled criminal, civil, probate and settlement of estate cases. He also has an extensive appellate practice since he became a member of the Philippine Bar in 1989.
Mr. Rendor is also a three (3) Term Municipal Legislator of the Municipality of Oas in the Province of Albay from 2001 to 2010.
He was an Ex-Oficio Member, Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Albay (Provincial Legislator) from 2004 to 2007, as Provincial Federation President of the Philippine Councilors League (PCL Albay Federation). He was also the Interim National President, Philippine Councilors League (PCL) consisting of 16,000 Municipal Local Legislators all over the Philippines from June 30, 2007 to March 30, 2008 and Interim Secretary-General of the Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP) from October 10, 2007 to March 30, 2008. ULAP is composed of all Leagues of Locally Elected Officials of the Philippines.
Prior to being a member of the Philippine Bar, he was a Legislative Liaison Officer of the Department of National Defense under the Office of then Undersecretary Leonardo Quisumbing (who became Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, January 15, 1998 – November 6, 2009), at which time he was assigned to The House of Representatives and the Senate of the Philippines and acted as Legislative Assistant to then Undersecretary Quisumbing.
He has vast experience in both local and national legislation as well as in liaising with government agencies and offices.
